ALL THROUGH THE ENGLISH MEDIUM ONLY.

COURSES are made up of one or more MODULES. Modules in turn are made up of LESSONS and have one or all of the following:

  • Zoom Interactive Sessions
  • Assignments & Assessments in Oral & Written Form
The duration of each module will depend on YOU and only when you have passed the assessment, test, assignments and/or oral test, will you progress to the next module.

[1] Beginners Course In Islam

Who Is It For?
For those who have recently embraced Islam.
The Course consists of level 1, 2 and 3.
What Is Covered In This Course?
The main topics covered in this module consists of:

- Basic Understanding Of Islam
- Learning to Read Salaah
- Learning to Read Arabic/Quran
Module 1
This Module is for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS who have not attended/done ANY Islamic Classes. It comprises of 10 lessons that will take an average of 6 WEEKS depending on your own pace of studying.

Briefly, the topics covered in this module are as follows:

- Introduction To Islam
- Demands of the Shahaada
- 5 Principles/Pillars of Islam
- The 6 Articles of Faith
- Duties to the Qur'an
- Seven Qualities of a Muslim
- Major/Minor sins in Islam
- Social Interactions with fellow Muslims & people of other Faiths
- Importance of family ties
- Memorizing common Arabic terms
- The Islamic Calendar & Muslim festivals/holy days
- Brief biography of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
Module 2
This module focuses on learning to perform Salaah accompanied by Audio-Visual aids to assist in learning how to perform these actions. Depending on how much time is put into memorization, it can be completed in 4 - 6 WEEKS.

Briefly, the topics covered in this module are as follows:

- How to perform Ghusl (Bath)
- How to perform Wudhu (Ablution)
- Memorizing short verses of Qur'an
- Names & Times of Salaah
- Number of Rakaats (Units) in each Salaah
- Types of Salaah (Fard, Sunnah, Nafl)
- Finding Qibla (Direction of Mecca)
- Prohibited times of Salaah

NB: This module entails a fair amount of memorization in Arabic (with learning aids) and practical sessions till one knows how to perform Salaah.
Module 3
This module focuses on learning how to read Qur'an accompanied by audio lessons to help through 16 lesson manual. A lot of repetition is needed in this and there will be many practical sessions via Zoom/Whats App that will be done with you. Depending on your pace of work, this module can be completed in 4 - 6 WEEKS.

- Short Vowel Sounds
- Shortened Letters
- Sukoon (Joining)
- Shadda
- Tanween
- Madd
- Abbreviated Letters
- Rules of Tajweed
- Kalimahs
- Common Mispronunciations

We will also go through 5 articles/pamphlets in detail:
- What Is Islam & Who Are Muslims?
- Misconceptions About Islam
- What Is Jihad & Does Islam Promote Violence
- What Others Say About Islam
-Similarities Between Islam & Christianity

For those that have finished the Beginner's Course & want to learn more about Islam.
The Course consists of module 1, 2 and 3.
What Is Covered In This Course?
The main topics covered in this module consists of:

- Understanding & Practicing Islam As A DEEN
- Sources Of Shariah
- Quranic & Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh)
- Deeper Understanding of Islamic Spirituality
- Halaal & Haraam
- A Sneak Preview of Comparative Religion
Module 1
These modules are for those who know and understand the basics of Islam. This module focuses on Understanding & Practicing Islam. This module can be completed in 4 - 6 WEEKS.

Briefly, the topics covered in this module are as follows:

Section A

- Comprehensive concept of Islam as a Deen (Way of Life) rather than just a religion
- More in-depth analysis of the 5 Pillars & Articles of Faith

Section B

- Introduction to sources of Shariah - Qur'an, Sunnah & Ijtihad

Section C

- Spirituality in Islam - concept of Ihsaan

This module has a written assignment/test that will have to be submitted to us.
Module 2
This module focuses on a more in-depth analysis on the sources of Shariah, compilation of the Qur'an & Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh). This module can be completed in 4 - 6 WEEKS.

Briefly, the topics covered in this module are as follows:

Section A

- Revelation & Compilation of the Qur'an

Section B

- Sunnah as a second source of Shariah
- Legacy of the Prophet (PBUH)
- Compilation of books of Ahadith

Section C

- Methods used in Fiqh
- Schools of Fiqh/Madhabs
- Examples of how to apply priciples of Ijtihad

This module has a written assignment/test that will need to be submitted to us.
Module 3
This module focuses on a deeper understanding of Islamic History, Halaal & Haraam and a sneak preview of Comparative Religion. This module can be completed in 4 - 6 WEEKS.

- A book "Halaal & Haraam in Islam" by Yusuf Al Qaradawi
- An overview of 14 Centuries of Islamic History
- Judaism, Christianity & Islam
- Culture & Islam
